RENTERS BEWARE!!! They will find any excuse possible to keep your deposit, don't even bother trying to get it back. Took over a month IN JULY to get the AC repaired, on a top floor apartment. Couldn't even live there in the heat while waiting. Absolutely horrible experience!!!

My daughter lived at one of their Illinois properties the heat only worked on 90 and it wasn't just hers you pull up to the apartments middle is winter every apartment has their windows wide open. her bills were outrageous and she had no choice to pay. Her daughter constantly stayed sick with respiratory illneases and since she moved she hasnr been sick once . there was a murder there months ago nothing has been cleaned up and an apartment that has sat empty with no repairs for over 1 yr they are in desperate need of new management this is shameful

I then packed my s u v with what little I had left and moved to Texas once in Texas I am able to finding housing so I'm living out of s u v on a beach in Texas not knowing where I going to be living. Then she charges me for a full month rent that should have been prorated. I passed all my inspections but now she decided that she needed to paint my walls and ceilings and charge me despite never having any remarks on my inspections. I shampooed all the carpets before I left even the closet floors, I washed all the Windows inside and out, I pulled out the stove and fridge and cleaned, my cabinets and doors were always washed every 3 months, the drip tray that she wants to charge me for I never used and is in the drawer under the oven. In addition to these things when I moved in 3 years earlier I asked for a new storm door because it was all taped together and had big gaps so it didn't keep the cold air out, I was told for 2 years that they would not replace my door they didn't have the money but I noticed others were getting new doors so I asked again and was told I couldn't get one because I have a dog. They spent a lot of money on landscaping this summer, no matter how good the outside looked once people saw inside no one wanted to rent them.
I recently moved out of a maco mangement property and will never rent from them again. Faith makes up her own rules and knows that a low income we don't have a choice but to sign or be evicted. How can you say that you will evicted because your service dog pees in the grass and if you don't get rid of your service dog then you have to move. I was always living in fear. She designated 2 areas for dogs to potty however those areas arent owned by maco they are was owned by someone else. I suffer from bipolar and the constant fear of losing my dog and being homless put me into a very manic state and unable to process any rational thought as a result I quickly sold, donated, or gave away my furniturer
